Food Defenders

This blog is an effort to counteract the inefficiencies in our country with ideas. It will be a series of ideas that anyone is allowed to implement (please give credit where due of course).

Food Defenders:

Food defenders defend food from the trash can! Food Defenders work for homeless groups by stopping by restaurants nightly and picking up food sent back by costumers and at the end of the trip is a homeless center. There must be strict regulations for the food, for example if a waiter notices a costumer cough while eating or seem sickly the food must be thrown away. This would be an upgrade from dumpster diving and because people would be concerned about the health risks all that is needed is a disclaimer. A disclaimer is more than many unhealthy food products give regardless because of food lobbyists. I would really find it hard to believe that homeless people would rather dumpster dive than have food served and returned that same night. It seems like protesters to this plan would be imposing their own standards of living on people that can't afford the same and can't function well enough to organize and say something about it.
